He created the slush fund stack so that he can use it for some other illicit purposes. The main purpose of implementing slush fund stack was when there were no important projects that needed to be approved. This would help them to account their expenses more correctly but if there were any IT projects then the company should be ready to pick that up and make it worth it. The CIO wanted to keep the slush fund because he wanted to use it for political bribery in order to make the company more recognizable (Baltzan Phillips, 2016). He also proposed that it would not be a lot of money but whatever gets collected would be stored in reserve for crisis and also the amount would be enough that it would definitely help the company to focus more on other project. He created this slush fund stack for budgeting IT projects which did not have correct authorization and also did not come from standard decision process (Austin, Nolan Shannon, 2009). Another reason for creating these slush funds we re that if ever company runs into any crisis state due to insufficient IT projects, with the funds in reserve can be used to stabilize the company. If somehow anyone comes to know about this slush fund stack, the whole company and companys reputation will be at stake. Many people will have to lose their job due to this illicit practice of creating slush fund stack and all their tie ups will come to an end and no other company will ever give any project to them and company would have to face severe loss and finally the company had to be closed (Galliers Leidner, 2014). Due to this practice, many employees have to lose their job at the end. So in short, everyones neck is in the noose if anything goes bad. Bartons approach is more reasonable and if applied who is going to be trouble. Bartons approach of providing the best information system is much better than the previous CIO as Bartons approach is more methodological than the CIO as the CIO wanted to create slush fund stack without any backup plan whereas Barton wanted to close all the security holes so that no one can sniff into their information system but the problem with doing so is that no information system is fully secured and if they manage to block all the communication then it would arise a level of doubt from the data analysts also to make the system more secure, it would cost twice for setting up the system and to make it more secure (Austin, Nolan Shannon, 2009). At least this would prohibit others from peaking into the system and the company still can manage the slush funds for which they do not have to give any explanation whereas if they had gone with the CIOs plan then there would be a chance of getting caught as someone could look into their systems and steal the information which can be avoi ded by making the system more secure as it a onetime investment to make the system secure (Bednarz, 2013). The problem of doing so is that if they make their systems secure all of a sudden then everyone around them will be a bit suspicious that there must be something that they are trying to hide because there is no system that is fully secured so if they are spending too much then all eyes will be on them. The ones who are to be in trouble because of this would be Barton. Fenton, Geisler and Davies that they are supporting such acts and helping them in hiding the money by making slush fund stack. Barton should be placed in charge of the entire IT budget and ask for the percentage in order to make efficient decisions. Yes, Barton should be placed in charge as Barton is well positioned in the company he knows the company pretty well from inside and is quite experienced so he should be put in charge of the entire budget as he represent the interests of both the business and IT department (Cassidy, 2016). Declaring Baron as fixer, he could be given plenty of scopes to do the fixing but only problem with this is that in this process the noose will be in his neck only and no one elses (Austin, Nolan Shannon, 2009). Barton should be given the liability to ask for the percentage for IT budget so that he can discuss about the proposed budget and also to keep them under his discretion in order to save the confidential information from getting leaked (Ward, 2016). Frankenstein Essays (458 words) - Frankenstein, Romanticism

Frankenstein In the story, Frankenstein, Victor (who is the main character) experiences many tragedies resulting from the creation of his Monster. One of which the leading cause, eventually pushing him to hunt down his creation is the guilt for which he feels for indirectly being the cause of the deaths of his family members, his only close friend (Henry), and the family housekeeper, Justine Moritz. Mary Shelly is noted for having incorporating her own experiences within the novel. In class, weve already discussed how Mary incorporated little bits of information in the story that related to her own experiences. Even though found many similarities between Victor and Marys experiences, we failed to discuss the guilt that, in my belief, both Mary and Victor had in common. Like Victor, many of Marys close relatives, friends \, and associates past away. From the deaths of her three children, the death of her biological mother, her husbands deceased first wife, and the death of her half-sister, Fanny (who took her own life), Mary too had many tragedies occur in her life. However, in class we failed to mention if Mary, like Victor, felt in any way responsible for any of these tragedies that occurred if she felt any guilt. A perfect example would be Percys first wife Harriet, who killed herself (probably because she couldnt bare the fact that her husband left her for another woman Mary). Another would be the death of her three children (who she could have felt some guilt, being that she was always traveling rather then being present at all times to tend for them, or maybe not taking the necessary precautions that an expectant mother should take). I strongly believe that Mary and Victor shared a similar guilt; Victor created a monster and Mary stole Percy from Harriet as well as provided absence in her home. It is well accepted that Mary wrote many pieces to Frankenstein as symbolism to what went on in her life as well as what was going on in history at the time she wrote it. I believe that she went on to include not only events, and descriptions of her many travels in the Eastern Hemisphere, but also incorporated her feelings and emotions as well (in this case, her guilt is just one of them). Again, Frankenstein is not only a gothic tale of horror, but is also a tale of symbolism, symbolic of an industrial period in history as well as the tragic life that Mary had encountered in the past and, what I believe, she would ironically come to encounter years after her book was published. Word Essays Word Essay Word Essay Test assesses your ability to use the language being tested by presenting questions via a computer. Questions appear on a screen and you answer them by clicking on a particular option or by typing in words or phrases. There are eight types of question and they assess listening, reading and grammar/ vocabulary skills. Reading and Language Knowledge Tasks (I) Read and Select Candidates are presented with a notice, diagram, label, memo or letter containing a worth text. They choose a phrase that most closely matches the meaning of the text. (it) Extended Reading Candidates read a longer text and answer a series of multiple choice questions based on it. The questions are presented in the same order as the information in the text. (ill) Multiple Choice Gap-fill Candidates choose the best word or phrase to fill gaps in a text. There are four choices for each gap. (v) Open Gap-fill Candidates complete blanks in a text by typing in the missing word. (v) Gaped Sentences Candidates complete gaps In a sentence by choosing the correct word or phrase. There are four choices for each gap. Listening Tasks (I) Listen and Select Candidates listen to a short recording and answer a short multiple choice question. (II) Listen and Select (Graphic) The same as above, but the choice Is between three pictures or Images. (Ill) Extended Listening Candidates listen to a longer recording and answer a series of multiple choice questions based on it. The questions are presented in the same order as the information is heard. You can hear the listening recordings twice. The Computer Test starts by testing a candidates Reading and Language Knowledge before starting the second section which Is the Listening part of the exam. The Computer Test is adaptive. This means that it adapts to your level. If you get questions right, it will give you more difficult ones. If you get questions wrong, it will give you easier ones. N. B. You can change your mind and change an answer you have selected. However, once you move on to the next task, you cant go back to a previous one. The Computer Test produces a report with the candidates overall score (on a scale of 0-100) and LATE and CHEF levels, and their score on each section. A test report form can be printed out from the test if the test administrator has selected this option, or a report can be printed from the administrators Supervisor program. How should you prepare for the Computer Test? The skills tested in the Computer Test are the same as in the Standard Test, and so you should read the blats candidate handbook | 2 The Computer Test 5 advice given in the section on the Standard Test. In addition, you should familiarize yourself with the format of the Computer Test and the way you need to answer questions.
